Getting Started

Create an account, set up your profile, and optionally connect a wallet when you need tips, holder features, or Community Posts participation.

Creating an account

Registration uses a username and password on the Register page. Registration is currently open.

  • You can browse published videos, public discussions, and Learn articles without an account.
  • An account is required to upload, like, tip, post in discussions, propose tokens, or vote where those features are enabled.
  • Sign-in uses username and password on the Log in page.

Profile and Account

Profile

Your public profile is available at /user/<username>/. It shows your published videos and public creator information.

Account

The Account page is private to you. It is where you:

  • Review your own videos and their statuses
  • Connect or unlink an Ethereum wallet, and optionally a Solana wallet
  • Control whether a linked wallet can receive tips
  • Refresh cached SAIKO balance information when holder features are used
  • Request account deletion

Connecting a wallet

Wallet connection is optional for basic use of QTube. You can register, watch videos, read public discussions, and upload without a wallet.

A connected wallet is used when you need to:

  • Send or receive on-chain tips (SAIKO on Ethereum, and a community token when that tip asset is enabled)
  • Show verified Token Holder affiliation for listed community tokens
  • Access SAIKO Holder features when those features are enabled (including discussions in eligible token communities)
  • Cast SAIKO Holder votes on token proposals or community reviews
  • Qualify as a SAIKO Community Moderator when that status is enabled

An Ethereum wallet remains the primary link for SAIKO and other Ethereum features. A Solana wallet can be added for Solana features such as Solana community-token tips and Solana token-holder affiliation. Compatible Wallet Standard wallets and WalletConnect sessions are supported; QTube does not require a specific Solana vendor.

Current minimum SAIKO balance for SAIKO Holder features: 1 SAIKO (holder features enabled). Token Holder affiliation and SAIKO Community Moderator status are separate; see Governance.

QTube verifies wallet ownership with a signed message. QTube does not take custody of your funds and does not store your private keys.

Browsers and requirements

  • Use a current desktop or mobile browser with JavaScript enabled.
  • Wallet features require a compatible browser wallet (Wallet Standard or injected) or a WalletConnect session.
  • Without JavaScript, wallet association controls are unavailable.
