How upload, processing, moderation, publication, and tip eligibility work for creators.

Uploading videos

Authenticated members can upload from Upload when uploads are open. Uploads are currently open.

  • You must confirm ownership of the content you upload.
  • Each video requires a category and a catalogue token.
  • Upload availability is controlled by platform settings and account status.

Processing

Videos are processed automatically after upload. Typical status progression:

  1. Uploading — the file is being accepted by the platform
  2. Processing — media is being prepared for delivery
  3. Awaiting moderation — processing succeeded; soft review is required before publication
  4. Published — the video is public on catalogue, feed, profile, and token pages

Processing runs on platform workers. Time to completion depends on file size and queue load.

Moderation and publication

After processing, videos enter initial moderation. Authorized reviewers can publish, hide, or defer a video. Published videos appear on public surfaces.

If community moderation votes are enabled and reviewers disagree, a video can move to community review instead of remaining in a soft-review only state. See Moderation.

Video pages

A published video page provides playback and related controls for eligible viewers, including:

  • Playback of the processed deliverable
  • Likes and view counting according to platform rules
  • Tip controls when tipping is available for that video
  • Sensitive-content warnings or holder gates when those settings apply

Sensitive videos currently require a linked wallet with at least 1 SAIKO (based on the platform’s cached balance rules) before full access.

Receiving tips

To receive tips, all of the following must be true:

  • Tips are enabled on the platform (currently enabled)
  • The content is eligible: a published video with tips enabled, or a visible Community Post, comment, or reply
  • Your account has a linked wallet with tip receiving enabled on the chain of the tip asset (Ethereum for SAIKO and other Ethereum assets; Solana for Solana community-token tips)

A published video is not required to receive a tip on a discussion or reply. SAIKO can be tipped where Ethereum compatibility allows. A community’s own token can also be tipped when that community’s tip asset is enabled. Details are in Tips.

When processing fails

If processing cannot complete, the video status becomes Processing failed. Your Account page shows a safe status message.

  • You can delete a failed upload from your Account page.
  • There is no self-service retry button. A new upload is required after cleanup.
  • Operators may retain the original file for a limited retention window before it is purged.
